• 3. Only ever use a gas appliance only for its intended purpose. For example never use an oven to heat a room. It has not been designed for this purpose and will be extremely dangerous.


• 4. Never store or use flammable liquids (such as gas, paint, paint thinners, cleaning products, aerosol sprays etc.) in the same room with any gas appliance, or near a flue terminal.


• 5. Never store paper, rags or other combustible materials near a gas appliance.


• 6. Always have qualified Gas safe registered service people install and maintain all gas appliances.


• 7. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for the installation and safe operation of each appliance.


• 8. Have your gas-fired equipment serviced and cleaned regularly by Gas safe registered service people.
